For all that we have done wrong in our lives, we seek forgiveness. In most instances, we seek such forgiveness from the most important people in our lives -- mothers, fathers, siblings, and friends. Guilt can be a destructive and haunting emotion. Through the framework of photography, I renew and rebuild these relationships, both with myself and with others.

My photographs are experimental, I aim to investigate and capture emotions and behaviors. It is important to me to share my work with the people who inspired it; in this case my mother. She is a presence in my life that keeps me balanced through her healing nature. I feel a sense of relief after achieving a completely abstract photograph. The image represents who I have become, with no representation of an incarnation of me in the past.
